What if we don't accept your insurance?

Please check with your insurance company to confirm that you’re allowed to submit a claim for reimbursement, before making a pump purchase.

Here’s what to do to get your breast pump:

  • Step 1

Simply fill out the form below or give us a call and we’ll do the work.

When you call us at (248) 387-9880, a member of our friendly staff will ask for your insurance information. If you don’t have a prescription, we’ll work with your doctor to have your prescription sent to us.

  • Step 2

We’ll verify your benefits with your insurance company.

While you go on with your day, we’ll contact your insurer. We currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans, Blue Care Network, Blue Cross Complete, McLaren, Meridian, Ambetter, and straight Michigan Medicaid.

  • Step 3

We’ll call you back with your benefit information.

Once your insurer gives us your benefit information, we’ll contact you to let you know about any financial obligation you may have. Some plans require the payment of a copay or coinsurance, and we’ll make sure you know where you stand.

  • Step 4

    Complete the paperwork.

When picking up a pump, you’ll need to provide:
Your original prescription. The mother’s health insurance card (or a front and back copy). The mother’s driver’s license (or a front and back copy).

  • Step 5

    Time to go shopping.

All of our insurance-eligible pumps have demonstration models in our Novi, MI store, so you can learn about the pumps before you decide. Upgrades may also be available for out of pocket cost. We also offer shipping to customers outside the Metro Detroit area.

  • Step 6

Stay connected with us at Mom and Baby Shop.

Our commitment to moms doesn’t end with a breast pump purchase. Visit our website for our schedule of breastfeeding classes, support groups, and consultation services to help moms on their breastfeeding journey. Our website and store also feature a full line of breastfeeding supplies and replacement parts to make sure moms always have the pumping parts and accessories they need.
